Urabandai Lake Resort is located in the heart of the Bandai-Asahi National Park, surrounded by mountains, forests, and lakes created by the eruption of Mt. Bandai. The area, known as Urabandai Highlands, offers breathtaking views of Lake Hibara and the famous Goshikinuma (Five Colored Ponds).
The resort provides a peaceful and inspiring environment for academic gatherings. Guests can enjoy spacious rooms, natural hot spring baths with panoramic views, and delicious local cuisine. On the top floor, there is an observatory lounge with a free space where visitors can relax, read, or have informal discussions while overlooking the surrounding landscape.
The harmony of nature and comfort makes Urabandai Lake Resort an ideal venue for both concentrated academic sessions and quiet reflection.
Participants are encouraged to stay at Urabandai Lake Resort, which offers both Western- and Japanese-style rooms, buffet and course-style dining, and natural hot spring baths (onsen).
Staying at the conference venue ensures convenience and a relaxed atmosphere for discussions beyond the formal sessions.
If you prefer to stay elsewhere, several smaller inns and pensions are located within a 10–15 minute drive from the resort.
Conference Facilities
All conference sessions will take place in the “Suzuran” (Lily of the Valley) room, located on the 5th floor of the “Goshiki no Mori” Wing in the main building.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, allowing participants to stay connected during their stay.

Urabandai is located at an altitude of about 800 meters.
